Submission of an Interreg project

Xeptagen has participated in the Interreg call for proposals for the international cooperation between Italy and Slovenia, sponsored by the European Union. The other partners involved in the proposal include the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences of Udine University (project leader), the children hospital Burlo Garofolo in Trieste, and the Department of Perinatology of the University Hospital in Ljubljana. The aim of the collaboration is to develop a novel diagnostic kit for the early identification of preeclampsia, a severe disease that affects pregnant women and may cause the death of the mother or the child.
The project falls into the Priority Axis 1 “Promotion of the innovative ability for a more competitive area”, which aims at increasing the cooperation between key subjects to promote knowledge transfer and innovative activities in key sectors of the area.
