ELISA Kit for the detection of Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA) Immune Complexes in Colorectal Carcinoma (CRC)

An ELISA assay for the detection of Colorectal cancer (CRC) in patient sera. Colon-IC is designed to measure Carcinoembryonic Antigen coupled to IgM (CEA-IgM). Studies have shown that elevated levels of CEA-IgM has been found in much higher numbers of patients with Stage I Colorectal cancer than free CEA assessment. When CEA-IgM determination is coupled with regular free-CEA determination, sensitivity is raised to 64%.

Thus this tool is particularly important for the early diagnosis (Stage I) of Colorectal Cancer.
